Henio Arcangeli, Jr. is President of the Motorsports Group Company for Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA, and a leader in the motorsports industry.
Mr. Arcangeli joined Yamaha Motor in 2006 and has served as the Motorsports Group President since 2007. He is responsible for Yamaha Motor’s Motorcycle, All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV), Side-by-Side, Snowmobile, and Outdoor Power Equipment business groups, as well as Racing Operations.
As one of the largest motorsports companies in the world, Yamaha Motor is a major contributor to the U.S. economy. It employs approximately 3,000 employees in the U.S. and supports more than 30,000 additional jobs through its manufacturing facilities, corporate offices, distribution centers, suppliers and dealer partners. Yamaha Motor has facilities in nine states with its U.S. headquarters in Cypress, California.
Earlier this year, Mr. Arcangeli officiated at ceremonies in Newnan, Georgia, where Yamaha Motor has invested more than $250 million into its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The production facility is part of the company’s long-term strategy to transfer much of Yamaha Motor’s worldwide ATV production from Japan to the U.S.
During his two-decade career, Mr. Arcangeli has demonstrated leadership with several world-class technology and consumer products companies. He is past President and Chief Operating Officer of Pioneer Electronics’ Strategic Business Services. In this role, he led all operation functions within the company.
Prior to these roles, Mr. Arcangeli served in several senior marketing, engineering and manufacturing positions at Thermador, Inc., the General Electric Company, and the General Motors Corporation.
Mr. Arcangeli is a passionate supporter of Kettering University and a member of Kettering University’s Board of Trustees. He previously served on the board of directors for the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) and the National Science Technology Education Partnership (NSTEP).
Mr. Arcangeli earned a bachelor’s of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University / GMI in 1986. While at Kettering / GMI, Arcangeli was elected Freshman Class Representative and was a member of the Management Honor Society. After Kettering / GMI, he earned a master’s in engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University (1987) and a master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the Stanford Graduate School of Business (1991).
Earlier this year, he was awarded the Kettering University Alumni Association Management Achievement Award in recognition of his positive contributions and lasting effect in the field of Management.
A native of California, he and his wife, Mary, have a daughter and live in Manhattan Beach, California.
