Academic Advising and PIN Distribution
Please note that you will receive your PIN at the time of advisement, unless noted otherwise below
Math academic advisement will be Wednesday, May 25, 12:30-1 p.m., in the Math Conference Room, 2-100B AB, pizza and pop served.
Applied Physics and Engineering Physics:
The scheduling and conflict resolution meeting will be 7th week, Wednesday, May 18, from 12:20-1:15 p.m. in the PAL Studio, Room 2-601 AB. Pizza will be served.
The Department of Business advisement will be 6th week, Friday, May 13, at 12:20 p.m. in the Department of Business Lobby, Room 4-318 AB. Lunch provided. Students with business minors may sign up for advising using the schedule posted on Professor Cayo’s door.
Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Applied Biology:
Advisement sessions will be held Monday, May 16: 1:30 - 5:30 p.m.; Tuesday, May 17: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.; Thursday, May 19: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Friday, May 20: 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 2:30 - 5:30 p.m.; Monday, May 23: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1:30 – 5 p.m. First come, first serve. Sign in sheet on Dr. Seeley’s door (3103 MC). Registration materials available in conference room. Please have your course selection form completed prior to advising.
Computer and Electrical Engineering:
ECE advising will be 7th week, Monday, May 16 through Friday, May 20. Students should come to the ECE department 2-703 AB on Friday, May 13 to sign up for advising.
Computer Science and Bioinformatics:
Advising will be done weeks 7-11, and will start Monday, May 16 continuing through Friday, June 17. Advising will be held during normal business hours. Students can be advised by any department faculty member and are encouraged to come as early as they are able. Students will be given their pins after meeting with their advisors. Advising will be held in 1-700 AB (IME Dept office) Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Weeks 7 and 8 (May 16-20 and May 23-27).
Freshman ME students with an overall GPA of > 3.0 can come in for early advising beginning in 6th week (May 9). Advising for ME freshmen and sophomore 1s is available 7th week Monday through 9th week Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday-Friday in the Academic Success Center (ASC), 3-322 AB. Advising is mandatory for freshmen. Sophomores are strongly encouraged, but not required, to meet with an advisor. Appointments can be scheduled through the ASC website.
Wednesday, Week 7 – May 18, 2016 - 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Rooms: 2-102A & 2-102B MC: This is a mandatory advisement session for students registering for their final academic term at Kettering and all ME students pursuing a dual degree.
Friday, Week 7 – May 20, 2016 – 12:25 – 1: 10 p.m., Rooms: 2-102A & 2-102B MC: This is a make-up advisement session for final term and dual degree students who missed the May 18 session. It is also an optional general advisement session for ME SO-II – SR-III students.
Friday, Week 9 – June 3, 2016 - 12:25 – 1:10 p.m., Rooms: 2-102A & 2-102B MC: This is an optional make-up advisement session for ME students including those requiring mandatory advising as well as those registering for back-to-back academic terms. This is the last advisement session of the term, so please plan accordingly.
NOTE: M.E. FRESHMEN AND SO-I STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE THEIR ACADEMIC ADVISEMENT IN THE ACADEMIC SUCCESS CENTER (ASC) IN ROOM 3-322-AB.
Advising is mandatory or all M.E. Freshmen students. However, advising is optional, but recommended, for M.E. Sophomore I students. PIN numbers will be distributed to freshmen students during their advising appointment. Sophomore I students will not have a PIN number assigned to their registration account. Appointments can be scheduled through the ASC website.
